This piece I wrote in 2004, a late night "ditty" that evolved into an etude of sorts. Not really a Songo at all (it lacks the percussive element, and of course, speed) but I do allude to stylistic elements found in a Montuno. The "Monk" factor comes in on some of the harmonies I chose.
