As tunes go, this one isn't quite a contrafact...if anything it is a tribute to the blues. By referencing two iconic pieces seemingly worlds apart (Gershwin, son of Ukranian Jews wrote his prelude in 1927. Miles Davis (b.1926) recorded All Blues in 1959. In this piece I aim to bridge the two tunes, which fundamentally speak the same language.
